Household Goods Shipping Update

March 2, 2026

As you may have expected, household goods and global shipping are experiencing delays due to events unfolding in the Middle East.

Airspace was closed over a large area of the Middle East, suspending flights to and from key airports in Dubai, Tel Aviv, and Doha. More than 40 flights were diverted early Saturday morning after the attack prompted airspace closures in the region. As of this morning, over 3,000 flights had been cancelled.

The Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea are currently unsafe for vessel transit, which means shipments through those areas or to and from Gulf ports could be heavily delayed. The port in Bahrain is closed and under damage assessment.

In some of these areas, crew availability may be limited. Many government offices and embassies in the region are closed or partially staffed. This will lead to delays at customs and in obtaining any permits we may need to perform our services.

Thank you to our partners, Move One and PMR, for providing us with the information so swiftly today. We are early with this situation, and I expect information to continue to flow in. If you have questions about a specific country or need assistance relocating people out of this area, please let us know.
